Weekly Links 1

May 21, 2023

Hello! My name is Miguel and you are reading Weekly Links. Every week I publish a list of interesting stuff I find online. You can subscribe via rss for free. If you’re already a subscriber thanks!

I've been struggling a lot with my blogging habit. I've got dozens of drafts but because of reasons they never get to see the light - thanks ADHD. Anyway, I spend a lot of time consuming content online and every day I stumble across interesting stuff: articles, videos, memes, etc. Good stuff I tell you. I'm going to curate a list of these interesting links and hit publish. I'll try to commit to do this every week in hopes of developing a writing habit. So without further ado... Welcome to the first edition of Weekly Links!

  • Photoshop meets Skynet. This tool is called DragGAN and is making Photoshop look like Paint 1998. Here's a friendlier video of a demo. I bet someone at Adobe is 💩 bricks right now. (See what I did there?)

  • 1989 called, and it wants its phone back. For just $799 you could get an awesome cellphone - minus the cameras, the screen, the doom-scrolling capabilities, or iMessage. Yikes! It looks like it was as heavy as an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

  • Soooo many options. If you have a Mac... Have you ever wondered what's the deal with the option key? The key that looks like half a boat 🛥️ between the control and the command keys. Apparently it unlocks a lot of features and shortcuts!

  • Writers! Assemble! The Writer's strike is happening right now, and this time they are fighting for something different. This article helped me understand what’s going on and why. Go writers!

  • The Legend of Zelda: Pest control. Nintendo (the best video-game maker, change my mind) released this month Tears of the Kingdom, A.K.A The sequel to Breath of the Tech Demo Wild . The community has been doing some crazy stuff with the new gameplay and it's so funny. Look at this, and this, and this!

That's all for this week pals. Let me know what you think and feel free to send me interesting links!

-Miguel
